Refund requests, reviewed case by case.
Plain language. No automatic promises — we review every request in context and respond personally.
How we handle refund requests
Every refund request is reviewed individually by Smith Performance Productions LLC. We do not promise a guaranteed automatic refund for any specific scenario — instead, we look at the circumstances of the request, the Verdict that was delivered, and the reasonableness of the concern. We resolve most requests within 1–2 business days.
When we'll generally consider a refund
The following situations are typical reasons we may issue a full or partial refund. These are not automatic — each is reviewed on its own merits.
- Significant delivery delay. We aim to deliver Verdicts in about 10 minutes. If something unusual delays your Verdict by hours, contact support and we'll review.
- Out-of-scope vehicle. If we determine your vehicle is outside our data-coverage scope (motorcycles, RVs, heavy trucks, and some rare configurations) and we cannot generate a usable Verdict, a refund is generally appropriate.
- Material concerns about the Verdict. If you read the Verdict and have substantive reasons to believe it missed important context, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll review the request alongside the audit trail.
When refunds are generally not appropriate
- Requests made more than 7 days after delivery. Once a reasonable window has passed, the Verdict has served its informational purpose.
- Requests based on whether you agreed with the Verdict's conclusions. We are paid to provide honest analysis, not specific conclusions.
- Requests where the Verdict was delivered on time, the vehicle was within scope, and the analysis was conducted faithfully against the data provided.
How to request a refund
Email smithperformanceproductions@gmail.com with your Verdict ID (RV-2026-XXXXXX) and a short description of your concern. We respond within one business day. Approved refunds typically post back to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
Honest expectation-setting
The Verdict is informational analysis grounded in NHTSA data and the information you provide. It is not a hands-on diagnostic, not a legal opinion, and is not a guarantee of any future mechanical outcome. If a repair issue arises in the months following a Verdict, that does not by itself indicate the analysis was wrong — vehicles are mechanical systems with real variance.
Disputed charges
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. Chargebacks filed without first contacting support may delay refund processing. We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks where a Verdict was successfully delivered and the request is based on Verdict content rather than a delivery or scope issue.
